This garlic bread recipe meets all my requirements for a great tasting, but not overpowering, cheesy garlic bread. The bread gets nicely toasted on all sides, the butter melts into the bread, and the cheese is not overcooked. This recipe was adapted from an Americas Test Kitchen recipe.
TIPS: A french loaf will give you a softer garlic bread, versus a baguette that will end up crunchier on the outside, so it’s just whatever you prefer. If you do not have Italian blend cheese, you could substitute shredded mozzarella and top that with parmesan cheese.
